Originally operating under the name of UMEA Engineering Consultants the corporate structure was changed and the name simplified in May 2013 to become UMEA Pty Ltd.
UMEA offers an extensive range of Electrical Building Services Engineering and installation expertise spanning the entire life cycle of a given building project ranging from, but not limited to, traditional design services, pre-purchase inspections, technical due diligence reporting, installation, fit outs and retrofits and design and construction contracts.

UMEA has established quality assurance systems based upon the recommendations of AS/NZS 3905 part 12 Australian / New Zealand Standard Quality system guidelines for architectural and engineering design practices.
The implementation of the Standard addresses the requirements of AS/NZS ISO 9001 Quality systems, providing guidance to architectural and engineering design practices operating in the building and construction industries on the adoption of quality management systems within the practice as a method of assuring professional standards of performance, managing for quality improvement and satisfying contractual and certification requirements.

The Environment
UMEA is committed to minimising the impact of its activities on the environment.
Our belief is that undertaking engineering design with consideration to the environment does not necessarily mean a higher economic cost to the client. Environmentally responsible design requires a change in the thought processes very early in the design concept stage, an understanding of the ‘environmentally friendly’ products and processes in the market place and a refocusing of the basis on which choices and decisions are made.
We aim to meet and where possible exceed the necessary environmental legislation that relates to any given project.
