Originally operating under the name of UMEA Engineering Consultants the corporate structure was changed and the name simplified in May 2013 to become UMEA Pty Ltd.

UMEA has established quality assurance systems based upon the recommendations of AS/NZS 3905 part 12 Australian / New Zealand Standard Quality system guidelines for architectural and engineering design practices.

 

The implementation of the Standard addresses the requirements of AS/NZS ISO 9001 Quality systems, providing guidance to architectural and engineering design practices operating in the building and construction industries on the adoption of quality management systems within the practice as a method of assuring professional standards of performance, managing for quality improvement and satisfying contractual and certification requirements.
